1979: Owner & Entrepreneur of Vermeer Manufacturing, Gary Vermeer took notice of Kevin and suggested that he start up a dealership in Nebraska.
1979: Kevin & his wife Tomi moved their family to Lincoln, Nebraska to establish Vermeer Equipment of Nebraska, Inc. With years of hard work, perseverance and dedication to customer support their dealership has grown to be the industry leader in Vermeer products.
1989: A second location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is established, dba Vermeer Equipment of South Dakota, Inc.
1997: Due to the growth in the South Dakota market a second location is established in Box Elder to serve western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming.

Vermeer High Plains has grown with the customer base, while maintaining a family first environment for the employees. Amazingly one of Kevin’s first employees, Al Czaplewski, has been by Kevin’s side for over 30 years.
Vermeer High Plains customers have come to rely on the knowledge and experience of its employees. Lincoln has over 270 years of combined experience, with 11 employees that have been with Vermeer High Plains for over 10 years. The 10 employees in South Dakota offer over 95 years experience and knowledge.
The employee loyalty and dedication to the company, and specifically to Kevin, is what makes Vermeer High Plains what it is today and keeps the customers coming back to see our familiar faces.
